Each year the University may offer an ANU Rural and Regional Equity Scholarship with the aim to increase access and provide opportunities for students from regional and remote areas of Australia to attend ANU and to support first year students with accommodation and living costs.
The Award is available each year to a commencing ANU student who:
- is a domestic student; and
- at the time of application to the University, resides in a remote or regional area as determined by the geographical classification defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard – ASGS 2016; and
- attended their final years of schooling in a regional or rural school (i.e. S01R); and
- is eligible for and receives adjustment factors for financial hardship.
