Overview
Dr Chalmers moved to Wagga in 1955 having bought a local veterinary practice which later became Wagga Veterinary Hospital. Many final-year students were given their introduction to large animal practice by Dr Chalmers or one of his partners. Over a long and award-winning career Dr Chalmers demonstrated an enormous commitment to his community and vocation. This scholarship honours his memory.

- Applicant must be able to demonstrate a commitment to the veterinary profession.
- Possess a sound academic record (GPA 4.0 and above).
- Be able to demonstrate University and /or community involvement through a letter of reference or certificate.
- Student should be able to indicate an awareness in their application of the background of the scholarship in regards to Dr Chalmers.
